Mums and bubs yoga from the comfort of your own home (with or without your little one!)
My little cherub and I have put together a 5 session online yoga program (sign up below) for you to be able to do together when you have a spare 30-minutes or so, at home, in your garden or maybe even at the park!
This is an awesome way to start or to continue moving your postpartum body, focusing on connection with your baby. Gentle to moderate, safe postnatal exercise including postures to help strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominal muscles, legs and back, whilst also working to open and soften your shoulders and neck. Also incorporating stretching, breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques.
During the class you are encouraged to nurture and nourish your baby as needed, by feeding, changing, holding and soothing - so feel free to do this as you need to by pausing the video at any time. Such a wonderful way to move your body and do something for yourself whilst spending time with your little one.
I highly recommend timing your practice just after bub has woken from a night sleep or a nap if you can, and also maybe feed them before your session if possible. I always find my little one is happier during a practice if she's fresh from sleep and has had some milk, however if this isn't practical for you, just do what you can - as you'll still be getting the benefits from the deep breathing and taking some time on your mat with your baby, even if you don't manage the full session.
